Essential Qualifications
  • Current registration with Nurses Registration Board of New South Wales List A
Desirable Qualifications
  • Post-basic experience and/or qualifications in gerontological nursing
  • Knowledge and experience in working in health or aged care
  • Demonstrated people management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve goals within set
  • Capacity to have initiative and be innovative
  • Computer literacy
  • High level of written and verbal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of and commitment to Quality Improvement, OH&S and Infection Control practices and principles
Role Summary
 
As a full time Registered Nurse in SummitCare you will be accountable to the Manager - Care & Lifestyle for the overall clinical areas within the centre.  It is the Registered Nurse’s responsibility to ensure that the total care of residents, including planning, assessment, evaluation and delivery of care is carried out in accordance with the individual needs of residents.  Along with resident care the Registered Nurse is responsible for co-ordination of staff.  This shall be carried out in accordance with the purpose vision and operating principles of the organisation.
