What you’ll do:
Reporting to the RedBalloon Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing RedBalloon’s short and long term search marketing strategy (SEO/SEM) including objective setting, action planning, implementation and ongoing comprehensive analysis. This is a newly created role where you’ll need to hit the ground running and will likely spend approximately 60% of your time focused on SEO, with the remainder on SEM.
The role is best suited to an individual who is equally strategic and tactical, simultaneously fun and focused and above all possesses a relentless drive for performance.
More Specifically:
Overall Search Marketing Strategy
- Development and management of RedBalloon’s short and long term search marketing strategy (SEO/SEM) including objective setting, action planning, implementation and comprehensive ongoing reporting;
- Effective ongoing benchmarking of own and competitor SEO/SEM
- performance and identification of actionable opportunities for both paid and
- natural search areas; and
- Provision of clear and timely communication to key business stakeholders
- on all relevant reporting/ findings/ recommendations.
SEO Program Management
- Development of strong SEO strategies and management of their
- implementation, including but not limited to copywriting, keyword research,
- content optimisation audits, link building initiatives;
- Effectively monitor organic inbound traffic on set of identified keywords to
- assess success of SEO program over time; and
- Collaboratively work with key stakeholders to support projects to ensure
- their content and site design are SEO friendly. This will include but is not
- limited to heavily driving SEO copy for landing pages and optimising existing
- product descriptions.
SEM Program Management
- Development, management and analysis of paid search campaigns to drive
- traffic and conversion;
- Management of SEM budget to agreed spend / ROI targets; and
- Ongoing review, testing and optimisation of all SEM campaign ad copy and
- keywords.
Who we looking for:
- Minimum Bachelors Degree;
- Minimum 2 years proven experience in SEO and SEM strategy,
- implementation and analytics;
- Demonstrable SEO results working on medium to large dynamic websites
- (1000+ indexed pages);
- Outstanding English, with demonstrated skills in copyrighting for SEO;
- Working understanding of current and emerging web technologies and how
- they work with SEO, especially HTML, JavaScript, Flash and AJAX;
- Experience using Google Analytics;
- Exceptional analytical ability with minimum intermediate Excel skills;
- Ability to work just as effectively in a team as independently;
- Genuine interest and enthusiasm for the world of Search Marketing;
- Must be creative and a tenacious problem solver;
- High attention to detail;
- Formally trained in SEO – desirable; and
- Google Advertising Professional (SEM) – desirable.
