Product Manager - Life Insurance

This leading wealth management arm of a large retail finance services organisation requires a Product Manager to work within their Life Insurance team.

Supporting Senior Management, you will be required to research, develop and implement profitable product solutions for the personal risk product suite to meet retail customer needs. You may also be responsible for the management of the Product Support Manager when needed.

This is a multi faceted role and requires strong relationship building and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple task and projects.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Meeting sales and profit targets as well as product maintenance.
Develop risk product sales and in tailoring products accordingly.
Accountability for the end to end management of and champion of the retail advice product
Ensure products remain competitive
Lead projects to meet agreed performance targets, continually seeking ways to improve efficiency without negatively impacting on services and customer experience
Manage relationships with key stakeholders

The role will ideally suit either someone in a similar Life Insurance Product Management role, or perhaps from compliance, product marketing, or maybe a business analysis role. Either way you will come from a Retail Advice environment and have strong technical knowledge about Life Insurance Products and the local market.

Required attributes and knowledge include:

Strong Life Insurance product management experience and knowledge
Understanding and knowledge of competitors in the market
Tertiary qualification in a Business related field or relevant business experience.
An understanding of Life Insurance and Superannuation legislation
Leadership skills
Experience at presenting to small and large groups.
Project management experience
Intermediate to Advanced Computer skills
Strong organisational and time management skills
Excellent attention to detail
Good verbal and written communication skills.
RG146 is desirable

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, energetic and enthusiastic and a results focused individual. Working with a high degree of autonomy and ability to see the "big picture" is key.
